Pembroke Flag Football League (PYFFL) is open to all kids in grades K through 9 in Pembroke and our surrounding communities. We offer an inclusive environment and no experience is necessary.
PYFFL divisions are GRADE BASED, not aged based. Divisions are set by what grade a player will be going into in the Fall of 2023.
Opening Day is Sunday, September 10th and regular season games run through the last weekend in October. Playoffs are the first two weekends in November.
Games take place on Sundays between 9 - 2 with each team also having at least 1 Friday night game under the lights.
Games are all held at the Mattakeesett Street Field Complex. Practices happen at one of the Pembroke elementary school fields or at the field complex.
Practice takes place once per week and start the last week of August. Practice day and time are at the discretion of the team Head Coach.
Each team will play 8 regular season games and at least one playoff game.
A reversible NFL Flag team jersey, PYFFL branded mesh shorts, a mouthpiece and a flag belt are included in tuition.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does the Instructional (K) division differ from the other divisions?
A: Instructional (K) teams do not have a pratice during the week. These teams spend the 1st @ 25 minutes of their hour on Sundays practicing and then play against another team for the last @ 30 minutes.
Q: Can I request that my child is on a team with a friend?
A: We only offer friend requests in the Instructional (K) division. We do our best to pair siblings in the same division together when requested.
Q: Yeah, but you know, carpooling....
A: See above
Q: My child has special needs and I would like to discuss how he / she can be put into the best situation to excel, are you open to discussion?
A: Absolutley. Please email with your phone number and our league president will reach out to work with you.
Q: My child has no football experience and I'm worried they may be overwhelmed. Any advice?
A: Flag football is easy to learn and open to all abilities. No experience is necesary no matter the grade level.
Q: I'd love to volunteer as I realize that PYFFL is 100% volunteer driven!
A: Awesome! We are always looking for help in the coaching ranks, but also in helping make the league great elsewhere. Field painting, reaching out to Sponsors, Social Media, etc are all areas of need.
Q: Why didn't you anticipate my question in your FAQs?
A: Sorry. It was getting late and we ran out of ideas. Just reach out at any time with questions! You can email us at email@example.com
Registration is closed
All divisions are full.
Registration for the 2023 season is live! The registration deadline is June 1 after which a $25 late fee will be applied (for all divisions except Instructional (K)).
After June 1, we begin a waitlist for any players above # 100 registered in any given division. We do this to meet our goal of an even number of 10 player teams.
Anyone requesting a refund pre September 1 will receive a full refund less the cost of their uniform (which they may keep).
Divisions are based on the grade players will be entering in the Fall of 2023!
